Bed bathing frail patients represents an intimate moment where the patient’s well-being must be respected. Unfortunately, the time for bathing is sometimes limited in facilities where the workload of caregivers is enormous.
Traditional equipment – washable cotton gloves and basins – is often ageing and the wear of materials can become the seat of bacterial multiplication. In addition, washing this equipment usually involves washing with soap and water and/or scouring, which is not always carried out with disinfectant products, often for lack of time.
